McAfee DAT file update
McAfee have changed the way in which the update is applied to McAfee V7 Professional. This is now no longer suitable for NetCompS Windows XP PCs. NetCompS has been installing the free home edition of Avast antivirus on all Windows Vista and Windows 7 PC's for some time now and have found it to be comparable to McAfee. Our testing has given us the confidence to recommend Avast antivirus. With the recent change to McAfee's policy NetCompS would recommend removal of McAffee V7 professional and upgrading to Avast V5 Free Home edition.
